SE/SSE - Data Engineer - Snowflake Specialist

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and database solutions using Snowflake.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data transformation logic within cloud data warehouses.
• Perform SQL query optimization and database performance tuning specifically tailored for large datasets in Snowflake.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient data models, schemas, and data flows.
• Troubleshoot complex data pipeline issues and identify root causes using strong analytical and logical reasoning.
• Ensure data quality, data governance standards, consistency, and accuracy across multiple systems.
• Collaborate closely with business users, analysts, and cross-functional engineering teams to satisfy data requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 3-8 years of experience in Data Engineering, Database Development, or related cloud data roles.
• Core Technical Stack: Strong hands-on experience developing in Snowflake alongside expert-level SQL programming capabilities (joins, indexing, partitioning, execution plans).
• Cloud & Automation: Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and exposure to Python or Shell scripting is a huge advantage.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent critical thinking, database performance monitoring, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Work Setup: Comfortable working in a Hybrid model.
• Locations: Open to working in Bangalore or Gurugram.
