SDET II

We are looking for an experienced Mobile Automation Tester/SDET with strong hands-on experience in Appium to design, develop, and maintain automated tests for Android and/or iOS applications. The ideal candidate should have solid programming, automation framework, API testing, and CI/CD experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Appium.
• Automate testing for Android and iOS mobile applications.
• Create and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java / Python / JavaScript.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, analyze, and report defects using tools such as Jira.
• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
• Execute tests on real devices, emulators, simulators, and/or cloud device platforms.
• Debug test failures and identify whether issues are related to the application, automation framework, environment, or test data.
• Develop reusable utilities, test components, and automation libraries.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, test case reviews, and defect triage.
• Maintain automation documentation and contribute to improving overall QA processes.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in software testing/test automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Appium.
• Experience with Android and/or iOS application testing.
• Strong programming knowledge in at least one of Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver and mobile automation concepts.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, Cucumber, or similar.
• Good understanding of API testing and REST services.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of mobile testing concepts, including gestures and touch actions, device capabilities, app installation/uninstallation, permissions, network conditions, Appium Inspector, logs, and debugging.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Appium 2x and WebDriver BiDi/W3C WebDriver concepts.
• Experience testing hybrid and native mobile applications.
• Experience with BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Docker and cloud-based test execution.
• Experience with performance, accessibility, or security testing.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
