Sdet Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Performance / Load Test Engineer to design, implement, and execute performance, load, and stress testing for our Azure-hosted web applications. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with JMeter, Locust, and LoadRunner, and a solid background in integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability test strategies for Azure-hosted web applications.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize test scripts using JMeter, Locust, and LoadRunner.
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) to enable automated, repeatable performance validation.
• Define performance SLAs and KPIs (response time, throughput, error rate, resource utilization) with product and architecture teams.
• Execute performance test cycles (manual and pipeline-driven), monitor tests in real time, and collect metrics from Azure and APM/monitoring tools.
• Perform detailed bottleneck analysis across application, database, network, and infrastructure layers; provide clear recommendations for tuning and optimization.
• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, SRE, and cloud engineers to validate fixes and re-test.
• Prepare and present performance test reports, dashboards, and golive readiness assessments to stakeholders.
• Contribute to performance testing standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices; mentor junior team members where needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience in performance and load testing of web applications.
• Strong expertise in at least two of the following tools, with working knowledge of the third: 
• Apache JMeter
• Locust
• LoadRunner
• Proven experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Good understanding of branching strategies, build and release pipelines, and automated quality gates.
• Experience testing applications deployed on Microsoft Azure (e.g., App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, Storage, Application Gateway).
• Solid understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, and web application architecture.
• Strong skills in performance analysis and tuning using metrics such as response time, throughput, concurrency, and resource utilization.
• Experience with monitoring/APM tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice-to-Have

• Scripting/programming experience (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript) for custom test logic and tooling.
• Experience with containers and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
• Exposure to reliability/chaos testing and capacity planning.
• Relevant certifications (Azure, performance testing tools, or cloud/DevOps)
