SDE - III

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Own backend systems and services from architecture and design through development, deployment, and production support.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and distributed services.
• Drive technical design discussions and make decisions around scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Work on complex system design and distributed systems problems.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and improve application latency, throughput, and resource utilization.
• Design robust data models and work with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Build reliable integrations with internal and external systems.
• Implement asynchronous processing and messaging using technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms.
• Establish engineering best practices around code quality, testing, observability, security, and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, DevOps, Data, and other engineering teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• Mentor SDE II and junior engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Contribute to engineering standards, architecture evolution, and long-term technical strategy.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Strong experience building REST APIs and microservices.
• Excellent understanding of system design and distributed systems.
• Experience designing systems for high availability, scalability, fault tolerance, and reliability.
• Strong knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, JVM fundamentals, and performance optimization.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming systems.
• Strong understanding of caching, queues, asynchronous processing, and distributed transactions.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong understanding of unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and debugging.
• Experience working in an Agile/product engineering environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
