Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Java SDE-I to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Java programming, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and backend development. This role offers an opportunity to work on scalable applications, REST APIs, microservices, and modern cloud-native technologies while collaborating with experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and production issues.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and senior developers.
• Develop unit and integration test cases to ensure code quality.
• Work with databases to design and optimize queries.
• Support CI/CD and deployment activities.
• Learn and adopt engineering best practices, design patterns, and secure coding principles.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Strong foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms
• Knowledge of Spring Boot and REST APIs
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems
• Basic understanding of Microservices architecture
• Problem-solving and debugging skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Skills

• Spring Data JPA/Hibernate
• Apache Kafka or Message Queues
• Docker and Kubernetes basics
• AWS/Azure/GCP exposure
• JUnit and Mockito
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Redis or caching concepts
• Understanding of System Design fundamentals

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong academic background in programming and computer science fundamentals.
