SDE (Backend)

We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong data engineering exposure who has hands-on experience in backend development, distributed data processing, and building scalable applications. The ideal candidate should have strong programming and problem-solving skills, along with practical experience in Java, Scala, or Kotlin and Spark/PySpark.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
• Build and optimize data processing pipelines using Apache Spark / PySpark.
• Develop high-quality, production-ready code using Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
• Work on large-scale data processing and distributed computing systems.
• Integrate backend services with data processing workflows and other systems.
• Optimize application and data-processing performance.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, and product teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Follow best practices for coding, testing, code reviews, and system design.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on programming experience in Java OR Scala OR Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark / PySpark.
• Strong coding and problem-solving skills.
• Solid backend development experience.
• Practical exposure to data engineering/data processing.
• Understanding of distributed systems and large-scale data processing.

Good to Have:

• Experience with GCP or other cloud platforms.
• Experience building scalable data pipelines.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data processing and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD, APIs, microservices, or containerization.
• Note: GCP is preferred but not mandatory.
