Location: Mumbai (preferred) / Remote, India Employment Type: Full-time Experience: 4-8 Years About the Role We are looking for a highly motivated SDE-2 Full Stack Engineer to build, scale, and maintain robust web applications and backend systems, with AI woven into the product rather than bolted on. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable owning features end to end, from designing APIs and data models to building intuitive frontend experiences, and who thinks AI-native: reaching for LLMs and agentic patterns as a default part of how modern products get built. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable, high-performance solutions, and to ship AI-powered features that genuinely improve the user experience. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack applications across frontend and backend systems • Build responsive and scalable user interfaces using React • Develop secure, maintainable, and high-performance backend services using Node.js • Build AI-powered and agentic features end to end: integrating LLMs, designing prompts and tool-use flows, and wiring up retrieval, evaluation, and guardrails • Write clean, reusable, well-tested code following engineering best practices • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions, bringing an AI-native lens to how problems can be solved • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions • Troubleshoot production issues, improve system reliability, and optimize application performance • Mentor junior engineers and help raise the team's bar on both engineering and AI-native practices Must-Have Skills • TypeScript for scalable and maintainable codebases • Next.js for server-side rendering and modern React-based applications • Strong hands-on experience with Node.js for backend development • Strong hands-on experience with React.js for frontend development • Solid experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis • Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and backend architecture patterns • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals • Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests • Ability to independently own features and deliver high-quality, production-ready code • AI-native thinking: comfort using LLMs and AI tools in daily development and a default instinct to consider AI-powered solutions Strongly Preferred • Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems (orchestration, tool use, memory, evaluation) • Experience integrating LLMs into production applications: prompt engineering, retrieval (RAG), function/tool calling, and working across multiple model providers • A track record of shipping AI features that moved real product or business outcomes Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • 4+ years of professional full stack software development experience • Proven track record of delivering scalable web applications in production environments • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to debugging and performance optimization • Good communication and collaboration skills What Success Looks Like • You can independently deliver medium-to-large features end to end, including AI-powered ones • You write reliable, maintainable, and scalable code • You proactively identify technical improvements, performance bottlenecks, and places where AI can meaningfully improve the product • You contribute meaningfully to architecture discussions and team productivity • You balance speed, quality, and business impact effectively Preferred Candidate Profile • Strong ownership and a bias for action • Comfortable in fast-paced product environments • Thinks from both an engineering and a product perspective • AI-native by instinct: stays current with models, tools, and agent frameworks and brings them into the work • Writes code with a focus on scale, reliability, and user experience
