Scrum Master

JOB PURPOSE

Carelon Global Solutions India is Seeking a Team Lead II is a people manager role, with strong expertise in Agile methodologies and Scrum practices to lead cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality business and technology solutions. This role is responsible for driving Agile adoption, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing team performance, removing delivery impediments, and ensuring successful execution of projects aligned with organizational objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Agile & Scrum Leadership

• Serve as Scrum Lead/Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospectives.
• Ensure Agile principles, Scrum framework, and best practices are consistently applied.
• Drive Agile maturity and continuous improvement initiatives across teams.
• Identify, track, and remove impediments impacting team productivity and delivery.

Delivery Management

• Lead end-to-end project and product delivery activities.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize and manage product backlogs.
• Monitor sprint progress, velocity, capacity, and release planning.
• Ensure delivery commitments are achieved within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Track risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans proactively.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and coach team members to achieve business and project objectives.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Support performance management activities including goal setting, coaching, and development planning.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and encourage effective communication among team members.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders, Product Owners, and delivery teams.
• Provide regular delivery updates, sprint metrics, and executive-level status reporting.
• Manage stakeholder expectations while balancing delivery priorities and resource constraints.
• Support strategic planning and roadmap discussions.

Metrics & Process Improvement

• Monitor Agile metrics such as Velocity, Burn-down/Burn-up Charts, Cycle Time, and Team Capacity.
• Analyze delivery trends and recommend process improvements.
• Promote Lean and Agile best practices to increase delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Support organizational Agile transformation initiatives.

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field.

EXPERIENCE

• 6+ years of overall IT/Product/Data & Analytics experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading Agile teams in a Team Lead, Scrum Master, or Delivery Lead capacity.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and SAFe principles.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management experience.
