Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Script Writer at The Popcorn Media – Influencer Marketing Platform. The Script Writer will develop scripts and screenplays for brand campaigns, influencer content, social media videos, and other digital formats. Responsibilities include interpreting creative briefs, collaborating with strategists, creators, and video production teams, and tailoring scripts to different platforms and audiences. The role involves refining concepts, maintaining brand voice consistency, revising scripts based on feedback, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content. The Script Writer will also contribute ideas to creative strategy and stay informed about trends in digital storytelling and influencer marketing.

Key Responsibilities

- Write scripts for influencer collaborations (Instagram & YouTube) across categories — from nano creators to celebrity-tier talent

- Write Meta ad video scripts (UGC-style, testimonial, green-screen, podcast-format, skit-based, etc.)

- Develop sharp, scroll-stopping hooks for the first 2–3 seconds of every script

- Translate client briefs and campaign objectives into creator-friendly, on-brand scripts

- Adapt tone and format for different platforms, creator personas, and regional/cultural nuances

- Collaborate with the strategy and client servicing team to align scripts with campaign KPIs

- Revise scripts based on client and creator feedback within quick turnaround times

- Stay on top of trending formats, meme culture, audio trends, and platform algorithm shifts

Requirements

- Proven track record writing scripts for Instagram/YouTube influencer campaigns (portfolio required)

- Strong understanding of Meta ad video formats and what drives performance/CTR

- Ability to write strong hooks and native-feeling dialogue (not ad-speak)

- Understanding of creator tone-of-voice — scripts should sound like the creator, not a brand

- Comfortable working across categories (FMCG, EV, BFSI, real estate, wellness, etc.)

- Strong grasp of client briefs — able to interpret requirements without hand-holding

- Good command over Hindi/Hinglish/English dialogue writing; regional language adaptation is a plus

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven agency environment

Good to Have

- Experience writing for celebrity or macro-influencer campaigns

- Familiarity with trending audio/reel formats and platform-specific best practices

- Basic understanding of production/shoot constraints while writing (so scripts are shootable, not just readable)
