Role: Senior Associate – Scientific Writing & Medical Insights Analytics

Job Summary The Senior Associate – Scientific Writing & Medical Insights Analytics will be responsible for transforming complex healthcare and scientific data into actionable medical insights that support strategic decision-making across Global Medical Affairs. This role combines advanced data analytics, scientific communication, medical insight generation, and Generative AI-enabled methodologies to deliver high-impact, evidence-based recommendations for global, regional, and local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Medical Insights Generation & Data Analytics

• Conduct advanced analyses of structured and unstructured healthcare datasets across global, regional, and asset/indication-specific levels to generate meaningful, data-driven medical insights.
• Apply standardized medical insights frameworks and methodologies aligned with Global Medical Affairs objectives to ensure consistency, scalability, and strategic value.
• Integrate and synthesize insights from diverse data sources, including scientific literature, congresses, real-world evidence, stakeholder interactions, digital channels, and secondary research.
• Identify emerging trends, unmet needs, evidence gaps, risks, and opportunities to support medical strategy development and execution.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations that influence strategic decisions across therapeutic areas.

Scientific Writing & Strategic Communication

• Develop high-quality, insight-driven scientific deliverables including executive summaries, analytical reports, strategic presentations, dashboards, and medical insight narratives.
• Craft compelling scientific stories by integrating quantitative and qualitative evidence into concise and impactful communications.
• Collaborate with global and local scientific communications teams to align medical insights with scientific engagement and communication strategies.
• Ensure scientific accuracy, consistency, and clarity across all written and presentation materials.

Data Visualization & Reporting

• Design and develop impactful visualizations, dashboards, and reporting solutions to effectively communicate complex datasets and insights.
• Utilize visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel to enhance stakeholder understanding and decision-making.
• Present findings to cross-functional stakeholders through executive-level reports and strategic presentations.

Generative AI & Digital Innovation

• Leverage Generative AI and advanced analytics technologies to accelerate insight generation, content development, and evidence synthesis.
• Explore, evaluate, and implement AI-enabled solutions to improve automation, scalability, efficiency, and consistency of medical insights workflows.
• Drive adoption of innovative digital methodologies and continuously identify opportunities to enhance analytical capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner closely with Medical Insights Leads, Medical Affairs teams, Scientific Communications, and other cross-functional stakeholders to refine analytical approaches and maximize insight impact.
• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships across global, regional, and local teams within assigned therapeutic areas.
• Act as a trusted partner in translating data into strategic business and medical recommendations.

Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership

• Stay abreast of evolving industry trends, healthcare analytics methodologies, scientific communication practices, and digital innovations.
• Contribute to process optimization, best practices, and capability-building initiatives within the Medical Insights function.
• Champion data-driven decision-making and promote innovative approaches to medical insight generation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biotechnology, Public Health, or a related scientific discipline.
• Strong experience in scientific writing, medical insights generation, healthcare analytics, or Medical Affairs support.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize large, complex datasets into actionable business and medical insights.
• Excellent scientific storytelling, data interpretation, and executive communication skills.
• Experience leveraging Generative AI tools and digital technologies within scientific or healthcare environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and project management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed, and globally distributed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Global Medical Affairs, Medical Insights, Scientific Communications, or Evidence Generation functions.
• Familiarity with Real-World Evidence (RWE), publication analytics, congress intelligence, and omnichannel medical engagement data.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled medical analytics, natural language processing, and advanced data visualization methodologies.
