SCCM System Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft SCCM / MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) infrastructure.
• Perform application packaging, software distribution, and deployment across enterprise endpoints.
• Manage Windows patching and security updates using SCCM.
• Create and manage SCCM collections, packages, applications, deployments, and task sequences.
• Perform Operating System Deployment (OSD), imaging, and Windows build activities.
• Monitor deployment status and troubleshoot failed software installations and patch deployments.
• Manage SCCM client installation, configuration, health, and remediation.
• Perform hardware and software inventory management and generate compliance reports.
• Configure and maintain Software Update Points (SUP) and related patching activities.
• Troubleshoot SCCM infrastructure issues involving distribution points, management points, boundaries, and client communication.
• Work on WSUS integration and Windows update-related issues.
• Support Windows 10/11 endpoint environments.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring EUC/SCCM incidents.
• Create PowerShell scripts for administration, automation, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with endpoint security, Active Directory, network, application, and infrastructure teams.
• Handle incidents, service requests, problems, and changes according to ITIL processes.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and operational procedures.
