Scala Programming-@Infosys

We are looking for a skilled Scala to join a high-performing Agile team. The candidate will work closely with business users and development teams to design, develop, test, and support scalable applications and distributed systems.

This is a hands-on technical role where the majority of time will be spent designing, coding, testing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Scala.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
• Develop and optimize data processing pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark.
• Build scalable microservices and backend applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging activities.
• Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party systems.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Scala Programming.
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Functional Programming concepts.
• Experience with Apache Spark (Scala Spark).
• Strong knowledge of Collections, Futures, Akka, and Concurrency concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven, SBT, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
