SAS & Python Lead

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAS & Python Lead with strong hands-on expertise in SAS programming, Python-based machine learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing, validating, and optimizing predictive models, along with proven leadership skills to manage technical teams and deliver analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SAS programs using DATA Steps, PROC procedures, SAS Macros, and PROC SQL.
• Perform predictive analytics and statistical modeling using SAS, including Linear Regression and other statistical techniques.
• Build, train, validate, and optimize machine learning and predictive models using Python.
• Utilize Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and Statsmodels for data analysis and model development.
• Apply feature engineering, model evaluation, and validation techniques to improve model accuracy and performance.
• Work with PySpark and data pipelines for data processing and analytics.
• Lead, mentor, and guide SAS developers, Python developers, and analytics professionals.
• Review code, ensure analytical quality, and establish best practices for model development and validation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.
• Manage project deliverables, timelines, and technical priorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 12-18 years of overall experience in SAS development, analytics, and predictive modeling.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAS programming, including DATA Steps, PROC procedures, SAS Macros, and PROC SQL.
• Proven expertise in predictive analytics, Linear Regression, and statistical modeling.
• Strong experience developing machine learning and predictive models using Python.
• Proficiency in Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and Statsmodels.
• Good understanding of machine learning algorithms, feature engineering, and model validation techniques.
• Experience with PySpark, SQL, and data pipelines.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and managing end-to-end project delivery.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAS Viya, SAS Enterprise Guide, or SAS Enterprise Miner.
• Experience in building and optimizing large-scale data processing workflows.
• Knowledge of advanced predictive modeling and machine learning techniques.
• Experience working with cross-functional analytics and data science teams.
