About this role
Role & responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Variant Configuration models for complex products.
- Create and manage characteristics, classes, configuration profiles, and master data.
- Configure object dependencies including procedures, constraints, preconditions, and selection conditions.
- Integrate VC with SAP SD, PP, and MM to support pricing, BOMs, and routing.
- Collaborate with business users and PLM teams to translate requirements into configuration logic.
- Support integrations with MES, VIN Generation, Broadcast, and Software systems.
- Develop reports using Classes and Characteristics.
- Handle RICEFW objects, enhancements, and data migration activities.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and Go-Live support.
- Troubleshoot configuration issues and provide production support
Preferred candidate profile
- 7-10 years of SAP experience with strong hands-on Variant Configuration expertise.
- Proven experience in SAP LO-VC and/or SAP S/4HANA Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC).
- Strong understanding of object dependencies, classification (300/200/001), characteristics, and classes.
- Experience integrating VC with SAP SD, MM, and PP modules.
- Exposure to PLM, MES, VIN Generation, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in RICEFW developments and data migration.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Manufacturing, Automotive, or Engineer-to-Order product configuration experience preferred.
