SAP TRM Transformation Leader

Role Overview:

As the Senior Capability Lead – SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM), you will lead the end-to-end capability for SAP Treasury within a global services organization. This strategic role requires deep functional expertise in SAP S/4HANA Treasury and Cash Management, along with proven leadership in building competencies, driving solution innovation, and supporting complex digital finance transformations across industries.

You will work closely with clients CFO organizations to reimagine their Cash, Liquidity, Risk, and Bank Communication functions using SAP solutions—enabling real-time visibility, financial risk mitigation, and intelligent automation.

Job Description:

Practice & Capability Leadership

• Build and manage the global SAP TRM and Cash Management capability, including training, asset development, and certification roadmap.
• Establish solution blueprints, accelerators, and industry-specific templates for treasury transformations.
• Mentor consultants, architects, and solution leads; develop a scalable delivery model across regions.
• Ensure continuous upskilling in TRM functional areas and S/4HANA innovations (Embedded Analytics, Fiori, BTP, AI).

Functional Expertise in SAP TRM Areas

You will own capability and delivery oversight across the following SAP TRM functional areas:

Core Treasury Modules (S/4HANA):

• Cash and Liquidity Management
• Cash Positioning & Forecasting
• Liquidity Planning & Analysis
• Group-wide Cash Visibility

Bank Account Management with workflows

In-House Cash

• Centralized payments & receivables
• Intercompany Netting & Settlement
• Internal Banking Setup

Bank Communication Management (BCM)

• Payment approval workflows
• Digital Signature Management
• Integration with SWIFT and multibank networks

Financial Risk Management:

Transaction Manager

• FX, MM, Derivatives, Debt, Investments
• Deal capture, valuation, accruals, and settlements

Market Risk Analyzer

• Market data integration (e.g., Reuters, Bloomberg)
• MTM, PV, Risk Metrics

Credit Risk Analyzer

• Exposure Management & Limits Monitoring

Hedge Management and Hedge Accounting (HMA)

• IFRS 9 / ASC 815 compliant
• Effectiveness testing and accounting

Cash Management & Integration Areas:

• Bank Statement Processing (MT940, BAI2)
• Payment Integration with AP/AR/FI-CA
• Integration with external banks, SWIFT Service Bureau, Payment Hubs
• Advanced Cash Pooling (Notional/Physical)

Solutioning & Delivery Oversight

• Act as Solution Architect or Treasury Track Lead on large programs.
• Review solution designs and ensure alignment with best practices and industry standards.
• Govern project delivery across regions – ensure quality, scope, and client satisfaction.

Business Development & Thought Leadership

• Lead response for RFPs, client presentations, and demonstrations focused on TRM & Cash Management.
• Collaborate with industry, sales, and SAP alliance teams for GTM planning.
• Represent the firm in SAP forums, Treasury Summits, and co-innovation events.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 15+ years total SAP experience, with 10+ years in SAP TRM and Cash Management.
• Experience with at least 3 end-to-end implementations in S/4HANA Treasury (on-premise or cloud).
• Deep understanding of Treasury operations, financial instruments, cash visibility needs, and risk frameworks.
• Strong configuration and process knowledge across all TRM areas listed above.
• Cross-functional exposure to SAP FI, FSCM, BTP, MDG-BP, and integration with third-party payment/banking platforms.

Qualifications:

• MBA (Finance) / Chartered Accountant / CFA / CTP
• SAP Certified in Treasury or S/4HANA Finance
• Experience with Central Finance, Shared Services Treasury, or AI-based treasury analytics
• Experience in regulated industries like Banking, FMCG, Manufacturing, or Life Sciences

Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel (up to 40%) based on project and client location.
