• Lead functional discovery and workshops for order management processes, rules, and integrations.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze current state processes and identify improvement opportunities applicable to the future OMS model.
• Partner with architects and integration teams to clarify design impacts and dependencies.
• Support UAT planning and execution, including clarifying test scenarios, expected outcomes, and sign-off criteria.
• Drive end-to-end traceability of requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Mentor junior BAs and support readiness of business SMEs.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Manager to lead the design, implementation, support, and optimization of transportation and logistics processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SAP TM, logistics execution, transportation planning, freight management, and supply chain integration, with preferred experience in the Metals & Mining sector.

This role will be responsible for driving transportation digitization initiatives, managing SAP TM solutions, leading global or regional projects, and ensuring efficient movement of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products across complex supply networks.

Candidates with experience supporting mining operations, bulk commodity transportation, rail logistics, road transportation, port operations, multimodal logistics, and freight cost management will be highly preferred.

SAP TM Solution Management

• Lead SAP TM implementation, support, enhancement, and optimization initiatives.
• Own transportation management processes and system capabilities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define transportation strategies and digital transformation roadmaps.
• Manage SAP TM configuration, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Ensure transportation solutions align with operational and business objectives.

Transportation Planning & Execution

• Design and support transportation planning processes for:
• Inbound logistics
• Outbound logistics
• Intercompany transportation
• Export and import shipments
• Bulk material transportation
• Configure and support:
• Transportation Cockpit
• Freight Units
• Freight Orders
• Freight Bookings
• Transportation Proposals
• Transportation Charges
• Carrier Selection
• Optimize shipment consolidation and route planning.

Freight Cost Management

• Configure and maintain freight agreements and rate management.
• Automate freight cost calculation and settlement processes.
• Support freight cost allocation across business units and products.
• Improve transportation cost visibility and reporting.
• Monitor logistics KPIs and freight spend performance.

Metals & Mining Logistics Support

Support transportation processes associated with:

• Mining operations
• Iron ore transportation
• Coal logistics
• Metal concentrates movement
• Finished metal distribution
• Bulk commodity transportation
• Rail transportation networks
• Port and terminal logistics
• Vessel and shipping coordination
• Road transportation operations

Manage logistics scenarios involving:

• Mine-to-plant transportation
• Plant-to-port movement
• Port-to-customer distribution
• Multimodal transportation networks
• Heavy haul logistics
• Export shipment management

SAP Integration Management

Lead integration between SAP TM and:

• SAP S/4HANA
• SAP EWM
• SAP MM
• SAP SD
• SAP PP
• SAP GTS
• SAP Yard Logistics
• SAP Business Network for Logistics
• External GPS and carrier systems
• Third-party logistics providers (3PLs)

Ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain visibility.

Project Leadership

• Lead SAP TM implementation and rollout projects.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
• Conduct business process workshops and solution design sessions.
• Drive solution architecture decisions.
• Coordinate with global teams, consultants, vendors, and business users.
• Ensure successful UAT, cutover, and hypercare activities.

Operational Excellence

• Identify transportation optimization opportunities.
• Improve shipment utilization and routing efficiency.
• Reduce transportation costs through automation and planning improvements.
• Establish transportation governance and standard operating procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations.

Team Management

• Lead and mentor SAP TM consultants and business analysts.
• Manage vendor and implementation partner relationships.
• Support capability building within logistics and ERP teams.
• Drive knowledge-sharing and user adoption initiatives.

Key skills required

• 6-8 years of SAP experience with a strong transportation and logistics background.
• Experience leading at least:
• Two full-cycle SAP TM implementations, or
• One SAP TM implementation and one SAP S/4HANA transformation project.

Education: Graduate degree (Science or Engineering)
