SAP Tax Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support OneSource Tax solutions integrated with SAP ECC/S4HANA.
• Gather business requirements related to indirect taxation, VAT, GST, Sales & Use Tax, and withholding tax.
• Configure tax determination rules, tax engines, and tax reporting processes.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and development teams.
• Participate in end-to-end implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects.
• Integrate SAP financial and procurement processes with OneSource Tax applications.
• Analyze tax-related business scenarios and recommend best-fit solutions.
• Troubleshoot tax calculation and integration issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Prepare functional specifications, test scripts, and support UAT activities.
• Ensure compliance with global and regional tax regulations.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in SAP OneSource Tax Integration.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of Indirect Taxation, GST, VAT, Sales & Use Tax processes.
• Experience in tax determination and tax calculation configuration.
• SAP Finance (FI) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process knowledge.
• Experience in implementation, enhancement, and support projects.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Experience working with business users and global stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of SAP FI/CO.
• Experience with Vertex, Avalara, or other tax engines.
• Understanding of SAP integration technologies.
• Exposure to global tax compliance requirements.
• SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
• Experience in Agile project methodology.
