As an SAP SD Consultant with 3-6 years of experience, your primary responsibility will be to implement, configure, and optimize the SAP SD module to meet the sales and distribution requirements of clients. You will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure efficient order management, pricing, billing, and delivery processes within the SAP system. Your expertise in SAP SD will contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction, sales performance, and revenue generation.
Responsibilities
- Implementation and Configuration: Collaborate with clients to understand their sales and distribution processes and requirements and configure the SAP SD module accordingly. Ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules and third-party applications, as needed.
- Order Management: Configure and maintain sales order processing, including order types, item categories, pricing procedures, availability checks, and delivery priorities. Ensure accurate and timely processing of sales orders and monitor order fulfillment.
- Pricing and Discounts: Configure pricing procedures, condition types, and pricing conditions. Define and maintain pricing agreements, discounts, and promotions. Assist clients in pricing determination, discount calculations, and price list maintenance.
- Delivery and Shipment: Configure delivery document types, picking, and packing procedures. Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment, accurate inventory management, and on-time delivery. Define shipping points, routes, and transportation planning.
- Billing and Invoicing: Configure billing document types, billing plans, and account determination. Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, credit management, and revenue recognition. Collaborate with finance teams to reconcile sales and billing data.
- Returns and Complaints Management: Configure and maintain returns and complaints management processes, including return order processing, return reasons, and credit memo processing. Collaborate with customer service teams to handle customer complaints effectively.
- Contracts and Agreements: Configure and maintain contracts and agreements, such as sales contracts, scheduling agreements, and blanket purchase orders. Ensure compliance with contract terms, monitor contract fulfillment, and support contract negotiations.
- System Optimization: Identify opportunities for system optimization and propose solutions to improve efficiency, streamline sales processes, and enhance reporting capabilities. Optimize the SAP SD system to meet the specific needs of the business.
- Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support to clients by troubleshooting issues, resolving system errors, and implementing necessary enhancements. Monitor system performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and ensure system stability.
- Reporting and Analysis: Develop sales reports using SAP Report Painter and Report Writer. Analyze sales data, customer performance, and sales trends. Provide insights to support business decision-making and sales strategies.
- Testing and Documentation: Develop test scenarios, perform unit testing, and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT). Document functional specifications, configuration changes, and system enhancements. Create user manuals and provide training to end-users.
Requirements
- Experience: 3-6 years of hands-on experience as an SAP SD Consultant, working on end-to-end implementation and support projects.
- SAP SD Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP SD module functionalities, including order management, pricing, billing, delivery, and integration with other SAP modules.
- Configuration Skills: Proficiency in configuring SAP SD settings, order types, item categories, pricing procedures, and other relevant configuration elements.
- Integration Knowledge: Understanding of the integration points between SAP SD and other modules like SAP MM (Materials Management), SAP FI (Financial Accounting), and SAP PP (Production Planning).
- Sales and Distribution Knowledge: Familiarity with sales and distribution processes, pricing strategies, sales order processing, and delivery management. Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP SD solutions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, sales teams, and cross-functional Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Education: bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. SAP SD certification is a plus.
