SAP RAR Consultant - Operations Support (Offshore)

Experience: 5-10 Years
Location: Pune / Chennai/Hyderabad/ Bangalore
Role Type: AMS / Production Support

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for SAP Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR).
• Handle incident management, problem resolution, and service requests.
• Support end-to-end revenue recognition processes aligned with ASC 606 and IFRS 15.
• Monitor and resolve issues related to:
• Revenue Contracts
• Performance Obligations (POBs)
• SSP Allocation
• Contract Modifications
• Revenue Postings
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end revenue close activities.
• Reconcile and validate revenue accounting results.
• Support integration between SAP RAR and SAP S/4HANA modules (FI, CO, AR, GL).
• Troubleshoot data, posting, and reconciliation issues.
• Maintain RAR configurations including business rules, account determination, and revenue recognition settings.
• Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Accounting, Business, and IT teams.
• Support SIT, UAT, enhancements, defect fixes, and release activities.
• Prepare operational documents, RCA reports, and knowledge articles.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

• SAP S/4HANA RAR (Revenue Accounting & Reporting)
• SAP FI Integration (GL, AR)
• Revenue Recognition & Revenue Reconciliation
• AMS / Production Support experience
• L2/L3 Support expertise
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• ASC 606 and IFRS 15 knowledge
• SAP BRIM integration experience
• Subscription Billing / SaaS business exposure

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5-10 years of SAP experience with strong SAP RAR support expertise.
• Hands-on experience supporting revenue accounting processes in production environments.
• Good understanding of finance accounting concepts and revenue recognition standards.
• Experience working with global stakeholders and managing critical support incidents.
• Ability to independently analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex RAR issues.
