SAP PS Consultant / Senior Consultant

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the functional configuration, design, testing, and implementation of SAP PS (Project System) modules.
• Map complex business structures into standard SAP solutions using Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Networks, Activities, and Milestones.
• Manage cost planning and budgeting, including budget allocation, availability control, and structural cost tracking.
• Drive module integration across key touchpoints including SAP FICO (for project costing and settlement), MM (for procurement), and SD (for customer projects and billing).
• Author functional specifications for custom ABAP developments, interfaces, user exits, and custom project reports.
• Provide expert troubleshooting for production support issues, resource planning, progress tracking, and period-end closing activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 5 to 12 years of core hands-on experience as an SAP PS Functional Consultant.
• Lifecycle: Minimum of 1 to 2 full end-to-end lifecycle implementations or major S/4HANA migration projects completed.
• Technical Depth: Robust understanding of investment management, revenue recognition, results analysis, and project settlement processes.
• Desired Skills: Prior exposure to SAP S/4HANA, SAP PPM (Portfolio and Project Management), or SAP CPM (Commercial Project Management) is highly advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Strong consulting mindset with excellent client-facing communication skills and the ability to run design workshops independently.
• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / MBA or equivalent degree. SAP certification is a strong plus.
