Sap PPQM Consultant

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced SAP PP QM Application Consultant responsible for implementing, supporting, and enhancing SAP solutions in the areas of Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM). The ideal candidate should have a strong functional knowledge of business processes in manufacturing and quality control and should be able to configure and customize SAP to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyse business requirements related to production planning and quality management processes.

• Design, configure, and implement SAP PP and QM solutions including:

Master data (Materials, BOM, Routings, work canters)

MRP, production orders, capacity planning

Inspection lots, quality notifications, results recording, usage decisions, quality certificates.

• Work with cross-functional teams (MM, FTM, SD, etc.) for integrated process design.

• Develop and execute test plans, resolve issues, and provide support during go-lives.

• Perform system enhancements, configuration changes, and troubleshoot PP/QM related issues.

• Train key users and support change management efforts.

• Collaborate with technical teams for developments (e.g., reports, interfaces, user exits).

• Participate in rollouts, upgrades, and migrations as required

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in SAP PP and QM modules.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality processes.

• Experience in ECC or S/4HANA environments.

• Excellent knowledge of integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, FICO).

• Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps (for S/4HANA roles).

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

• Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or conversions.

• Exposure to SAP Activate methodology.

• ABAP debugging experience (optional but helpful).
