SAP MM Consultant

Role & responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP Materials Management (MM) modules based on business requirements.
• Handle procurement processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and release strategies.
• Manage material master data, vendor master data, and purchasing information records.
• Handle inventory management, goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfers, and physical inventory.
• Configure and support pricing procedures, account determination, and invoice verification.
• Work on integration of SAP MM with SAP SD and SAP FI modules.
• Analyze business requirements and prepare functional specifications for technical developments.
• Troubleshoot SAP MM issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
• Support SAP MM implementation, rollout, upgrade, and production support projects.
• Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, and end-user training materials.
• Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to improve procurement and inventory processes.
• Support SAP S/4HANA MM processes and Fiori applications, where applicable.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• 4-6 years of hands-on experience as an SAP MM Consultant or SAP MM Functional Consultant.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM configuration and procurement processes.
• Practical experience in purchasing, material master, vendor master, inventory management, and goods movements.
• Good understanding of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, invoice verification, and account determination.
• Experience integrating SAP MM with SAP SD and SAP FI.
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA is an added advantage.
• Experience in implementation, rollout, enhancement, or production support projects.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work from Bangalore as per project requirements.
