SAP MM and Ariba Consultant

Key Responsibilities

SAP MM Functional Support

• Provide L1/L2 functional support for SAP MM and Ariba -related incidents, service requests, and change requests.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to procurement and invoice verification processes.
• Coordinate with business users and cross-functional teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Monitor and support day-to-day business operations in SAP MM and Ariba.

Business Process Knowledge

Should be well versed with end-to-end SAP MM and Ariba process flows including:

• Purchase Requisition (PR) Process
• Request for Quotation (RFQ) Process
• Source Determination
• Purchase Order (PO) Creation and Processing
• Goods Receipt (GR)
• Service Procurement
• Invoice Verification (MIRO)
• Release Strategy for PRs and Pos
• Subcontracting Process
• Consignment Process
• Maintain and support Material Master, Vendor Master, Purchasing Info Records, and Source Lists.
• User management in SAP Ariba buying and invoicing
• Knowledge in IDOC and cXML integration
• Hands-on expertise in Ariba Network administration and Supplier management

Configuration & Enhancement Support

• Basic configuration knowledge of:
• Document Types
• Number Ranges
• Release Procedures
• Movement Types
• Pricing Procedures
• Output Determination
• Approval flow, Invoice exceptions, Catalog management, Receiving and Parameter configurations in Ariba
• Hands-on experience with Guided Buying - tiles and policies management
• Understanding of CIG integration of projects, custom mappings, Custom routing and XSLT mapping.
• Support testing activities for enhancements, bug fixes, and change requests.
• SPRO configurations for Ariba CIG add-on

Incident & Change Management and Documentation & Testing

• Work with ticket management tools such as JIRA, Remedy, or similar.
• Analyze recurring issues and provide permanent solutions wherever applicable.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
• Prepare Functional Specifications (FS), test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Perform Unit Testing (UT), Integration Testing (IT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.
• Maintain solutions and process documentation.

Required Skills

Functional Skills

• Strong understanding of SAP MM and SAP Ariba fundamentals.
• Good exposure to procurement processes.
• Knowledge of integration points with:
• SAP FI
• SAP SD
• SAP WM (basic understanding)
• SAP PP (basic understanding)

Support Project Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in SAP MM and Ariba Support/AMS projects.
• Experience handling incidents, service requests, problem tickets, and enhancement requests.
• Familiarity with SLAs and support processes.

Experience

• 2 to 3 years of relevant SAP MM and Ariba functional experience.
• Mandatory experience working in SAP support or AMS projects.
• Experience supporting end users and resolving business-critical issues.
