SAP Fiori / CAPM Developer

Position Description: We are looking for an experienced SAP Fiori / CAPM Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, CAP, OData and ABAP CDS Views, with experience working in SAP S/4HANA 2023 Private Cloud environments. The candidate will be responsible for developing Fiori applications, CAP-based applications and services, CDS Views and OData services, while following SAP BTP extension architecture and Clean Core principles.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5.
• Develop Fiori Elements applications using List Report, Object Page, Analytical List Page and related floorplans.
• Develop responsive and user-friendly applications following SAP Fiori design principles.
• Extend standard SAP Fiori applications and develop custom applications where required.
• Implement UI annotations, navigation, filtering, sorting and value helps.
• Troubleshoot UI5/Fiori application issues and performance problems.
• Design and develop applications using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
• Develop CAP services using Node.js and/or Java.
• Create entities, services, projections, associations and compositions.
• Implement business logic, validations and authorization within CAP applications.
• Develop and expose APIs/services using OData V4.
• Deploy and troubleshoot CAP applications on SAP BTP.
• Work with SAP HANA Cloud and other BTP services.
• Develop and consume OData V2 and OData V4 services for Fiori applications.
• Implement CRUD operations, associations, navigation and filtering.
• Troubleshoot OData service errors and performance issues.
• Understand SAP Gateway/OData architecture and service activation.
• Consume S/4HANA APIs and standard released APIs.
• Develop ABAP CDS Views including basic, composite and consumption/projection CDS Views.
• Use associations, parameters, annotations and calculated fields in CDS Views.
• Develop CDS Views for Fiori and analytical applications.
• Understand CDS authorization concepts and DCL.
• Optimize CDS Views for performance.
• Work with released CDS Views and APIs in S/4HANA.
• Work closely with SAP functional consultants across FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, QM, EWM, TM and other modules.
• Translate functional requirements into Fiori, CDS and OData technical solutions.
• Identify standard SAP APIs and CDS Views before developing custom objects.
• Develop extensions following SAP Clean Core principles.
• Support integration with SAP BTP and external applications.
• Work with SAP BTP Extension Architecture and side-by-side extensions.
• Use released APIs and extension mechanisms wherever possible.
• Work with destinations, authentication and connectivity between S/4HANA and BTP.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 development.
• Strong experience with Fiori Elements including List Report, Object Page and Analytical List Page.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
• Experience developing CAP applications using Node.js and/or Java.
• Strong experience with OData V2 and OData V4.
• Strong hands-on experience developing ABAP CDS Views.
• Experience with CDS associations, annotations, parameters, calculated fields and DCL.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, preferably S/4HANA 2023 Private Cloud.
• Experience with SAP BTP and CAP application deployment.
• Experience with SAP HANA / SAP HANA Cloud.
• Experience consuming S/4HANA APIs and standard released APIs.
• Good understanding of SAP BTP Extension Architecture and side-by-side extensions.
• Good understanding of SAP Clean Core principles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with SAP Business Application Studio / SAP Build Code.
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite.
• Experience with SAP BTP destinations, authentication and connectivity.
• Experience integrating S/4HANA with SAP BTP and external applications.
• Experience working with released APIs and extension mechanisms.
• Experience working with SAP functional teams across FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, QM, EWM and TM.
