SAP FICO Techno-Functional Consultant

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse,` and translate business requirements into SAP FICO solutions.
• Configure and support SAP FI modules including:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Asset Accounting (AA)
• Bank Accounting
• Taxation
• Configure and support SAP CO modules including:
• Cost Center Accounting
• Internal Orders
• Profit Center Accounting
• Product Costing
• COPA
• Work closely with business users to design and optimize finance processes.
• Support integration with SAP MM, SD, PP, Ariba, Concur, and other third-party applications.
• Coordinate with technical teams for enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows.
• Perform system testing, UAT support, defect resolution, and production support.
• Develop functional specifications and review technical developments.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Deliver user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
• Participate in SAP transformation, upgrade, rollout, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• 6-10 years of SAP FICO implementation and support experience.
• Strong expertise in SAP FI and CO configuration.
• Experience in end-to-end SAP implementation projects and support engagements.
• Knowledge of financial accounting, cost management, budgeting, and controlling processes.
• Experience in writing functional specifications and working with ABAP developers.
• Strong understanding of interfaces, data migration, and integration scenarios.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Exposure to SAP Ariba, Treasury, SAC, Group Reporting, or Central Finance.
• Knowledge of Fiori applications and reporting tools.
• Commerce, Finance, Accounting, CA, CMA, MBA Finance background preferred but not mandatory.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline.
• SAP Certification in FICO/S4HANA Finance will be an added advantage.
