Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP FICO Consultant to join a strategic SAP S/4HANA RISE implementation for a leading retail client in Singapore. The consultant will play a key role in the design, configuration, integration, testing, and deployment of SAP Finance processes within a high-volume retail environment.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on SAP FICO experience, with proven exposure to retail-specific finance processes, POS integration, inventory accounting, profitability analysis, and high-volume transaction processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP FICO functional activities across requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, cutover, and go-live.
• Support the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Finance as part of a RISE with SAP transformation.
• Configure and support retail-specific inventory valuation and accounting processes, including Retail Valuation Method (RVM).
• Work with high-volume POS transactions and their impact on inventory and General Ledger accounts.
• Configure and support accounting processes for Value-Only Articles and Stock Ledger.
• Provide functional expertise in SAP POSDM / POS DTA integration, including POS-to-GL mapping, cash overages/shortages, and credit card clearing.
• Support accounting processes for gift cards and store credit, including issuance, liability recognition, redemption, revenue, and breakage.
• Work with Settlement Management for vendor rebates, chargebacks, promotional allowances, and related financial settlements.
• Support franchise and wholesale accounting, including intercompany billing, external billing, and profit center accounting.
• Understand financial reconciliation requirements for omnichannel retail scenarios, including BOPIS and store-based fulfilment.
• Leverage the S/4HANA Universal Journal (ACDOCA) for real-time financial and profitability reporting.
• Configure and support Margin Analysis / Account-Based CO-PA, including profitability dimensions such as store, region, product hierarchy, seasonal collection, promotion, and distribution channel.
• Coordinate with SAP MM, SD, Retail, POS, integration, and technical teams to ensure end-to-end process integration.
• Support SIT, UAT, defect resolution, cutover, data validation, and post-go-live activities.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of relevant SAP FICO experience, with strong hands-on functional expertise.
• Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance implementation projects.
• Mandatory experience in at least one end-to-end SAP Retail implementation.
• Experience with SAP RISE / RISE with SAP implementation.
• Strong understanding of FI-GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Controlling, Profitability Analysis, and integration with logistics processes.
• Strong exposure to retail accounting and inventory valuation.
• Experience with POS integration / POSDM / POS DTA and high-volume transaction processing.
• Knowledge of RVM, Value-Only Articles, Stock Ledger, Settlement Management, and Margin Analysis.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal (ACDOCA).
• Strong understanding of retail profitability and financial reconciliation.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Experience with large-scale retail transformation programs.
• Exposure to omnichannel retail processes, including BOPIS.
• Experience working with franchise, wholesale, promotions, rebates, and settlement processes.
• Experience collaborating across FICO, SAP Retail, POS, MM, SD, and integration workstreams.
