SAP E-Invoicing Architect

Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced SAP E-Invoicing Architect to lead the design, implementation, and support of global e-invoicing solutions across multiple regions and regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in SAP finance processes, indirect tax compliance, and e-invoicing platforms, with the ability to drive end-to-end architecture discussions and solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect SAP E-Invoicing solutions in line with global and local regulatory requirements.
• Lead end-to-end implementation of e-invoicing and e-reporting solutions across multiple countries.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Compliance, and IT teams to define solution architecture and integration strategy.
• Drive integration between SAP systems and government/regulatory platforms through middleware and certified e-invoicing providers.
• Ensure compliance with evolving e-invoicing mandates and digital tax regulations.
• Provide architectural guidance for SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and related tax compliance solutions.
• Conduct solution reviews, impact assessments, and roadmap planning for new country rollouts.
• Support testing, deployment, hypercare, and production issue resolution.
• Mentor functional and technical teams on e-invoicing best practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on Finance and Tax processes.
• Proven experience as an Architect or Lead Consultant in SAP E-Invoicing implementations.
• Strong knowledge of global e-invoicing regulations and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC.
• Hands-on experience with:
• SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC)
• SAP eDocument Framework
• SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• Integration technologies (SAP CPI/Integration Suite, APIs, IDocs, Web Services)
• Understanding of VAT/GST compliance and digital tax reporting requirements.
• Experience working with third-party e-invoicing providers and government portals.
• Strong stakeholder management and solution design skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-country e-invoicing rollouts.
• Knowledge of PEPPOL, ViDA (VAT in the Digital Age), Continuous Transaction Controls (CTC), and real-time reporting frameworks.
• SAP Certification in S/4HANA Finance, Integration Suite, or DRC is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, retail, life sciences, or global enterprise environments.
