Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP HCM Canada Payroll (PY-CA).
- Work on Payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, features and payroll rules.
- Perform payroll configuration, testing and troubleshooting.
- Handle gross-to-net payroll, regular/off-cycle payroll and retroactive payroll .
- Support Canadian statutory payroll requirements including:
- CPP Canada Pension Plan
- EI Employment Insurance
- Federal and provincial taxation
- Garnishments and deductions
- CPP Canada Pension Plan
- Support year-end payroll activities and statutory reporting, including T4/T4A and ROE. SAP documentation confirms these as key Canada payroll reporting capabilities.
- Perform payroll reconciliation and investigate payroll calculation discrepancies.
- Handle complex production-support incidents and provide root-cause analysis.
- Work with PA, OM and Time Management integration with Payroll.
- Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP developers for custom enhancements.
- Perform Unit Testing, SIT, UAT and parallel payroll testing .
- Support SAP payroll upgrades, legislative updates and HR support packs.
- Work with business users and clients to understand requirements and provide SAP solutions.
- Maintain functional documentation and provide knowledge transfer to team members
