SAP Business One- Revolt Motors

Job Purpose

To lead SAP Business One administration, application support, ERP projects, reporting, and process improvements, ensuring reliable system operations, effective business-process integration, and optimal management of external implementation and support partners.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Administration & Governance: Oversee user creation and deactivation, authorization management, license allocation, access reviews, approval workflows, alerts, and routine system configurations.

2. Define ERP roadmap - Continuously identify automation opportunities, process improvements, system enhancements, version upgrades and digital transformation initiatives across business functions.

3. Team management- Lead and mentor SAP Business One support and project team members, Allocate work, review deliverables and monitor performance, Develop skill matrix and training plans. Conduct periodic knowledge-sharing sessions. Manage succession planning and backup resources. Ensure proper documentation and process adherence.

4. Application & Functional Support: Manage SAP B1 processes across Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Production, MRP, and Warehouse Management. Analyze transaction errors, drive root-cause resolution, and coordinate with support partners for complex issues.

5. Database Management & Reporting: Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and hands-on experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) for executing SQL queries, troubleshooting database issues, monitoring performance, and developing SAP B1 reports. Develop or review SQL queries, SAP B1 Query Manager reports, Crystal Reports, and Formatted Searches (FMS).

6. Technical Administration & Integration: Manage or coordinate SAP B1 technical configurations, UDFs, UDTs, UDOs, DTW uploads, master-data migration, and third-party integrations. Knowledge of Service Layer, DI API, and add-ons such as Boyum/B1UP will be advantageous.

7. Project Management & Documentation: Gather business requirements and oversee preparation of BRDs, FRDs, process flows, solution designs, and technical specifications. Manage project scope, timelines, development, integration testing, UAT, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation support.

8. Vendor & Commercial Management: Evaluate solution proposals and effort estimates, negotiate development costs and support contracts, monitor SLAs, and ensure timely delivery by implementation and support partners.

9. Accounting & Business Process Alignment: Possess sound accounting knowledge covering General Ledger, AP/AR, Journal Entries, Cost Centres, Fixed Assets, and financial reporting. Understand the accounting impact of SAP transactions and coordinate with Finance to resolve discrepancies.

10. Process Improvement & Compliance: Drive process standardization and automation across procurement, sales, inventory, production, subcontracting, and intercompany transactions. Support GST, e-Invoicing, e-Way Bill integrations, IT audits, and change-management controls.

11. System Maintenance & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate upgrades, patches, backups, database restoration, user training, SOP preparation, and knowledge transfer. Work closely with business teams, internal IT, developers, and external partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Commerce, or Business Administration.
• SAP Business One certification or relevant implementation training will be preferred.
• 812 years of overall experience, with substantial hands-on experience in SAP Business One implementation, administration, and application support.
• Strong understanding of SAP B1 business processes across Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Production, and MRP.
• Working knowledge of MS SQL Server, SSMS, SQL queries, Query Manager, DTW, and SAP B1 reporting.
• Sound accounting knowledge and understanding of financial transactions and reporting.
• Experience in requirement gathering, documentation, project management, UAT, vendor management, and commercial negotiations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, MCA, or a relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or other process-driven industries.
• Participation in at least one complete SAP Business One implementation cycle, from requirement gathering through go-live and post-implementation support.
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports, FMS, UDF/UDT/UDO, Service Layer, DI API, and SAP B1 add-ons.
• Exposure to SAP HANA, SAP B1 upgrades, master-data migration, and integrations involving GST, e-Invoicing, and e-Way Bills.
