Role Summary

Were looking for an SAP BASIS Consultant with 5–6 years of experience managing, supporting, and maintaining SAP landscapes. The successful candidate will handle system administration, performance monitoring, upgrades, installations, and production support while working closely with functional, infrastructure, and security teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAP systems across development, quality, and production environments.
• Perform system monitoring, health checks, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Manage SAP transports, client administration, user administration, and system refreshes.
• Support SAP kernel upgrades, support package updates, system upgrades, and patching.
• Administer SAP databases and coordinate database backup, recovery, and performance activities.
• Support SAP HANA and other relevant databases, as applicable to the landscape.
• Manage background jobs, RFC connections, printers, spool, and batch processing.
• Support SAP on-premises and cloud environments, including SAP S/4HANA, where applicable.
• Coordinate installations, migrations, and environment changes with infrastructure and application teams.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes; maintain clear operational documentation.
• Support audits and ensure systems follow security, access, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in on-call and planned maintenance activities as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5–6 years of hands-on SAP BASIS administration experience.
• Experience supporting SAP landscapes, preferably including SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP system architecture, transport management, client administration, and system copies.
• Experience with kernel upgrades, support packages, patching, and SAP system monitoring.
• Working knowledge of SAP HANA administration and database operations.
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Linux and Windows.
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager or equivalent monitoring and IT service management tools.
