About this role
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Technical Developer with strong hands-on expertise in ABAP development, RF/ITSmobile solutions, Dialog Programming, Reporting, and Barcoding . The ideal candidate should have experience developing and supporting SAP technical solutions for warehouse/logistics processes and should be comfortable working with RF-enabled applications and barcode-based business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs based on business and technical requirements.
- Work extensively on ABAP development across reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, conversions, and custom developments .
- Develop and support RF/ITSmobile applications for warehouse and logistics processes.
- Design and develop Dialog Programming / Module Pool Programs , including screens, PBO/PAI modules, validations, and navigation.
- Develop and maintain ABAP reports , including classical, interactive, and ALV reports.
- Work on barcode and scanning solutions integrated with SAP processes.
- Develop and support barcode-related functionality for material handling, inventory, warehouse operations, picking, packing, goods receipt, and goods issue .
- Analyze and resolve technical issues related to RF transactions, barcode scanning, and SAP custom applications.
- Work with functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable ABAP solutions.
- Perform debugging, performance tuning, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
- Develop technical specifications and maintain appropriate technical documentation.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, defect fixing, and deployment support.
- Ensure developments follow SAP coding standards, performance guidelines, and development best practices.
- Provide production support and participate in troubleshooting critical issues when required.
Required Technical Skills
- 5-7 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
- Strong expertise in ABAP programming .
- Strong experience in:
- Reports and ALV
- Dialog Programming / Module Pool
- Enhancements and User Exits
- BAdIs
- Function Modules
- BAPIs
- Interfaces
- Data Dictionary
- Debugging and Performance Tuning
- Hands-on experience with SAP RF / ITSmobile .
- Experience developing or supporting RF-enabled warehouse applications .
- Strong understanding of barcode/scanning functionality and integration with SAP .
- Experience with barcode-related transactions and warehouse processes .
- Good understanding of SAP integration points and data flow between SAP applications and RF devices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in SAP WM / EWM or other warehouse/logistics-related modules.
- Knowledge of warehouse processes such as:
- Goods Receipt
- Goods Issue
- Putaway
- Picking
- Packing
- Stock Transfer
- Inventory Management
- Experience working with RF devices, scanners, printers, or barcode systems.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is an added advantage.
- Exposure to modern ABAP development and performance optimization is desirable.
