About the Opportunity:
We are seeking experienced SAP ABAP RAP Developers for an opportunity to work with Cognizant. Selected professionals will work from Cognizant offices in Chennai or Bengaluru and collaborate with its technology teams on enterprise SAP application development and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
a. Design and develop cloud-ready transactional SAP Fiori applications using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP).
b. Create and optimize ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) views and data models.
c. Develop RAP business objects, behavior definitions, behavior implementations, validations, determinations, and actions.
d. Build and expose OData services and APIs using service definitions and service bindings.
e. Implement create, update, and delete operations and support integration with SAP S/4HANA systems.
f. Apply Clean Core and cloud-first extensibility principles to support upgrade-ready development.
g. Participate in requirements analysis, code reviews, testing, performance tuning, and technical documentation.

Required Technical Skills:
a. Strong hands-on SAP ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP development experience.
b. Practical SAP RAP framework development experience mandatory.
c. Expertise in ABAP CDS Views, OData services, and RAP business objects.
d. Experience with behavior definitions, behavior implementations, and RAP service bindings.
e. Experience developing in SAP S/4HANA (on-premise or cloud).
f. Basic understanding of SAP Fiori / Fiori Elements / SAPUI5.

Good to Have:

SAP BTP, ABAP Cloud, Clean Core development, managed and unmanaged RAP scenarios, OData V4, API integration, and SAP Fiori Elements.

Note: The position is full-time with WalkingTree Technologies, with work will be performed at Cognizant offices in Chennai or Bengaluru.
