Job Description Senior ABAP Consultant

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in IDocs, Enhancements, and Reports, along with solid knowledge of SAP development standards and integration concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP applications based on business requirements.
• Develop, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot IDoc interfaces for inbound and outbound integrations.
• Implement various SAP enhancements, including User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Spots, and implicit/explicit enhancements.
• Develop and maintain ABAP reports, including Classical Reports, Interactive Reports, and ALV Reports.
• Analyze functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Perform debugging, performance tuning, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.
• Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Follow SAP development standards, coding guidelines, documentation, and transport management processes.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities.

Required Technical Skills

• 3+ years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong hands-on experience in:
• IDocs
• Enhancements – BAdIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, Enhancement Framework
• ABAP Reports and ALV
• Strong knowledge of ABAP programming concepts, including:
• Internal Tables
• Work Areas
• Modularization
• Open SQL
• Object-Oriented ABAP
• Exception Handling
• Good understanding of SAP Data Dictionary objects such as Tables, Structures, Data Elements, Domains, and Search Helps.
• Experience with debugging and performance optimization.
• Good understanding of SAP integration concepts and interface monitoring.
