Position: SAP ABAP Consultant
Experience: 3 - 5 Years
Location: Ashok Leyland Ennore Plant, Chennai
Work mode: WFO 5 Days/week

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days Preferred

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled SAP ABAP Consultant with 3-5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development and at least one end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation project. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting ABAP objects, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows while working closely with functional teams to deliver business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP applications in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Develop and enhance:
• Reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV)
• Dialog Programming
• Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms
• User Exits, Customer Exits, BADI, Enhancement Framework
• RFC, BAPI, IDoc, ALE interfaces
• Data Dictionary Objects
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, and rollout projects.
• Develop CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA-optimized objects.
• Work with functional consultants to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Prepare technical specifications, unit test cases, and technical documentation.
• Provide production support and resolve technical issues within defined SLAs.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in SAP ABAP Development.
• Hands-on experience in at least one SAP S/4HANA Implementation project.
• Expertise in:
• Reports, Enhancements, Interfaces, Forms, Conversions
• BAPI, BADI, User Exits, RFC, IDoc
• ALV Reports and Object-Oriented ABAP
• Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA Performance Optimization.
• Experience with Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and Workflow integration.
• Good understanding of SAP modules such as MM, SD, PP, FI/CO, or PM.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• SAP ABAP or SAP S/4HANA certification is an added advantage.
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive industry projects is preferred.
