Role & responsibilities

• Developed and maintained applications using Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) concepts including classes, methods, inheritance, and polymorphism for scalable and reusable solutions in both SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• 9 Designed and implemented interactive and editable ALV reports using OO ALV and classical ALV, with advanced validations, event handling, and user-friendly layouts. Worked extensively on RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) across multiple business domains.
• Developed and customized Smart Forms and Adobe Forms for business documents such as invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes. Implemented various Enhancement Techniques including User Exits, Customer Exits, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements, Enhancement Spots, and Enhancement Framework. Developed and implemented BAdIs (Business Add-Ins) for extending standard SAP functionality as per business requirements.
• Created and consumed BAPIs (Business Application Programming Interfaces) for transactional processing and system integration.

Preferred candidate profile

• Developed RFC-enabled Function Modules for seamless communication between SAP ECC/S/4HANA and external systems. Designed and developed custom Function Modules (FM) with efficient logic, reusability, and proper exception handling.
• Hands-on experience in API integration, including consuming and exposing REST and SOAP APIs using SAP tools. Developed and enhanced OData Services using SAP Gateway (SEGW), implementing full CRUD operations, deep entity structures, and service optimization. Integrated SAP systems with SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and third-party systems using OData and APIs.
• Worked on S/4HANA-specific developments, including Code Pushdown techniques, CDS Views, and performance optimization using HANA database capabilities. Performed data migration and interface development, including file handling, IDoc processing, and API-based integrations.
• Conducted debugging, performance tuning, and optimization using tools like Runtime Analysis (SE30), SQL Trace (ST05), and SAT.
• Involved in end-to-end SAP implementation lifecycle: requirement gathering, technical design, development, testing (UT/UAT), deployment, and production support. Collaborated with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, FI,PP,EWM) to deliver efficient and scalable business solutions.
