About this role
Manual QA Engineer – Salesforce Applications
ClearRoute About Company ClearRoute is a quality engineering, cloud, and developer-experience consultancy that helps enterprise teams build, test, and release high-quality software with confidence. This opportunity is with a custom Salesforce application project where you'll play a key role in ensuring application quality through hands-on manual and exploratory testing in a collaborative Agile environment.
Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform black-box manual and exploratory testing across custom Salesforce application workflows, validating business rules, user journeys, permissions, and data flows before production releases.
- Design, maintain, and execute detailed test cases, regression suites, and test scenarios covering custom Salesforce objects, screens, workflows, integrations, and business processes.
- Investigate defects thoroughly by documenting clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, screenshots, environment details, and severity to support faster resolution.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, developers, and QA teams to clarify requirements, identify edge cases, and improve overall test coverage.
- Participate in release validation, regression testing, defect verification, and quality sign-off activities to ensure reliable product delivery.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Manual QA, Software Testing, or Quality Assurance with strong expertise in black-box and exploratory testing.
- Experience testing custom Salesforce or CRM applications, including workflows, custom objects, permissions, reports, integrations, and user-facing functionality.
- Strong understanding of test planning, test case creation, defect lifecycle management, regression testing, and Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate defects and testing observations.
- Automation experience is not required—this is a manual testing role focused on quality engineering and exploratory testing.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to work on a custom Salesforce platform application where your testing directly impacts product quality and user experience.
- Exposure to experienced engineering, product, and delivery teams in a collaborative quality-first environment.
- A role focused on hands-on exploratory testing, business-process validation, and release quality rather than automation scripting.
- Competitive compensation based on relevant Salesforce application testing experience, communication skills, and overall role fit.
