Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect to support a major digital banking transformation programme for a Bank in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture and solution design across customer engagement and digital marketing platforms.
• Design and implement scalable Marketing Cloud solutions covering Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder and related capabilities.
• Define customer journeys, segmentation, personalisation and campaign automation aligned with banking customer experiences.
• Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM, digital channels, APIs and external banking/enterprise platforms.
• Provide technical leadership across architecture, integrations, data models, security, governance and performance.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Salesforce teams, marketing stakeholders and banking SMEs.
• Lead technical workshops, solution discussions, design reviews and provide architectural guidance to development teams.
• Ensure solutions follow Salesforce best practices, enterprise architecture standards and security requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect / Technical Architect.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Strong expertise in Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio and Contact Builder.
• Strong understanding of Marketing Cloud data architecture, segmentation and personalisation.
• Experience integrating Marketing Cloud with Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud and external systems.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, integration patterns and data synchronisation.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions and working with complex customer data.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within large transformation programmes, preferably Banking or Financial Services.

Desirable

• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect certification.
• Experience in Digital Banking, Financial Services or large enterprise transformation.
• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud / Customer Data Platform.
• Knowledge of Marketing Cloud Engagement, Personalisation and advanced customer journey capabilities.
• Experience with MuleSoft or other enterprise integration platforms.
• Previous experience working with Middle East / GCC banking clients is advantageous.

Engagement Model

• This is an initial 6-month contract with the potential for a longer-term engagement.
• Candidates can be based remotely anywhere in India, but must be comfortable travelling to Riyadh for approximately 2 weeks each month.
• All visa costs, flights and accommodation for Riyadh travel will be fully covered.
• This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile banking transformation programme, combining remote working from India with regular onsite engagement in Saudi Arabia.
