Role Description
The Salesforce Enhancement Lead is responsible for leading the evaluation, design, prioritization, and delivery of enhancements across the Salesforce platform. This role works closely with business stakeholders, product owners, administrators, developers, and leadership to translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions. The ideal candidate has strong Salesforce functional and technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience managing enhancement backlogs, requirements gathering, solution design, testing, release coordination, and stakeholder expectations. This role requires someone who can balance business priorities with technical feasibility while ensuring Salesforce improvements are delivered efficiently, accurately, and with long-term platform sustainability in mind.
Key Responsibilities · Lead the intake, review, prioritization, and delivery of Salesforce enhancement requests. · Partner with business teams to gather, clarify, and document requirements. · Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution designs. · Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, developers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver enhancements. · Evaluate enhancement requests for business value, complexity, risk, and platform impact. · Maintain the Jira Board, create the sprints along with the sprint cycle · Facilitate release notes and release approvals with all stakeholders. · Internal coordination with team members for sprint projection, story point estimates, and solutions approvals · Internal coordination with other involved platform team members for coordination on complex enhancements
· Maintain and manage the Salesforce enhancement backlog. · Facilitate discovery sessions, requirement workshops, and stakeholder review meetings. · Recommend scalable Salesforce solutions that align with best practices and business objectives. · Support configuration and design decisions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and other Salesforce products as applicable. · Coordinate testing activities, including UAT planning, test case review, and defect resolution. · Support release planning, deployment readiness, and post-release validation. · Ensure changes are properly documented and communicated to impacted users and teams. · Identify opportunities to improve business processes through Salesforce automation, reporting, workflow improvements, and system optimization. · Monitor enhancement outcomes and gather feedback for continuous improvement. · Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams. · Monitor Salesforce product releases and ensure the organization’s health remains stabilized · Proactiveness in ensuring the implementation of Salesforce Release updates to avoid any blockers for org health · Promote Salesforce governance, data quality, security, and platform standards.
Required Qualifications · 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce in an administrator, business analyst, product owner, consultant, or enhancement lead capacity. · Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, configuration, automation, reporting, dashboards, and data model concepts. · Basic understanding of Tableau, their reports, and databases · Advance understanding of Jira, Jira dashboards, and sprint management · Basic understanding of Zephyr Squad and test scripts · Experience gathering requirements and translating them into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation. · Experience managing enhancement backlogs, priorities, and stakeholder expectations. · Ability to assess business needs and recommend practical, scalable Salesforce solutions. · Strong understanding of Salesforce change management and release processes. · Experience supporting UAT, defect triage, and production validation. · Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills. · Ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills. · Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery environments. · Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications · Salesforce Administrator certification. · Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, or Service Cloud Consultant certification.
· Experience with Salesforce Flows, validation rules, approval processes, permission sets, sharing rules, and reporting. · Experience with Salesforce integrations, data migration, or third-party applications. · Familiarity with DevOps tools, sandbox management, change sets, Copado, Gearset, or similar deployment tools. · Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, service, operations, finance, or customer success. · Experience documenting business processes, system workflows, and enhancement roadmaps. · Prior experience in a lead, senior analyst, product owner, or Salesforce consultant role.
