Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer with 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce development, with a strong focus on SFCC platform migration, major upgrades, legacy implementation modernization, and upgrade-related enhancements. The candidate should be capable of independently handling technical activities, resolving complex issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable commerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) applications.
• Take ownership of technical development activities related to SFCC migration and upgradation projects.
• Analyze existing SFCC implementations, identify deprecated or incompatible components, and develop upgrade strategies.
• Execute code migration, refactoring, compatibility fixes, and enhancements required for platform upgrades.
• Work extensively with SFCC cartridges, controllers, ISML templates, server-side JavaScript, and Business Manager.
• Manage integrations with third-party platforms, payment gateways, order management systems, and external APIs.
• Work with OCAPI, SCAPI, and other relevant integration mechanisms as required.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues involving application functionality, performance, and integration compatibility.
• Coordinate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and DevOps teams throughout migration and release cycles.
• Lead technical troubleshooting, code reviews, testing support, deployment preparation, and post-release stabilization.
• Support data migration, regression testing, performance validation, and production issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, security practices, scalability requirements, and SFCC best practices.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
• Strong practical experience in SFCC migration and upgradation projects is mandatory.
• Experience analyzing legacy SFCC implementations and performing code modernization or compatibility updates.
• Strong knowledge of SFCC architecture, cartridges, controllers, ISML, and server-side JavaScript.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web development practices.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, web services, OCAPI, SCAPI, and third-party integrations.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, deployment processes, debugging, and release management.
• Knowledge of testing strategies, regression testing, and production support.
• Strong problem-solving, technical communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Salesforce B2C Commerce implementations and Business Manager.
• Exposure to SFCC version/platform upgrades, re-platforming, or legacy commerce modernization.
• Experience with data migration, integration testing, performance optimization, and post-upgrade stabilization.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery practices.
• Experience mentoring junior developers or independently managing technical workstreams.

A technically strong SFCC professional who has independently delivered migration and upgrade activities, resolved complex compatibility issues, and supported end-to-end implementation and release cycles.
