About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales Officer (SO) to drive sales and strengthen our tea business across Agra and surrounding markets.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in FMCG General Trade (GT) sales, with proven experience in distributor management, retailer handling, territory development, and team supervision. Candidates with minimum 2 years of supervisory/team-handling experience will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive primary and secondary sales across the assigned territory.
• Manage distributors and expand the retailer network to strengthen market presence.
• Lead and supervise the sales team to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Plan and improve market coverage, beat planning, and outlet productivity.
• Ensure product availability, visibility, merchandising, and effective execution of trade schemes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key trade partners.
• Conduct regular market visits and monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market trends.
• Monitor distributor stock, sales performance, outstanding payments, and timely collections.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive market expansion and territory development.
• Train, guide, and monitor team members to improve sales productivity and execution.
• Prepare regular sales reports, market updates, and performance reports for management.
• Ensure effective implementation of company policies, sales strategies, and trade initiatives in the assigned territory.

Eligibility & Requirements

• Graduate; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in General Trade (GT) Sales.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in team supervision/team handling.
• Experience in FMCG, Food & Beverage, Tea, Coffee, Dairy, Packaged Foods, or related industries preferred.
• Strong experience in distributor management, retailer handling, and territory sales.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive market growth.
• Good leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and sales reporting.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Agra and surrounding markets.
• Candidates with Agra/Uttar Pradesh market experience will be preferred.
