Sales Manager-Modern Trade

Sales & Business Development

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for assigned modern trade accounts.
• Drive business growth through strategic planning and execution across modern trade channels.
• Identify opportunities to expand product listings and improve market penetration.

Key Account Management

• Manage relationships with major modern trade retailers such as Reliance Retail, D-Mart, More, Spar, Metro, Lulu, and other regional chains.
• Negotiate commercial terms, promotions, shelf space, and visibility initiatives with key accounts.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer concerns and operational issues.

Trade Marketing & Promotions

• Plan and execute promotional activities, product launches, and in-store activations.
• Ensure effective implementation of trade schemes and marketing campaigns.
• Monitor promotional ROI and recommend improvement strategies.

Distribution & Inventory Management

• Ensure optimum stock availability across outlets.
• Coordinate with supply chain and distributors to avoid stock shortages and improve replenishment.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain healthy stock rotation.

Team Management

• Lead and guide field sales executives, merchandisers, and promoters.
• Monitor team performance and provide regular coaching and feedback.
• Conduct market visits to ensure execution excellence.

Market Intelligence

• Track competitor activities, pricing strategies, and promotional initiatives.
• Analyze sales trends and prepare business reports.
