Sales Head - Pharmaceutical

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to build and scale a sales organization, not just run one. You'll start with a team of 15 and be responsible for growing it in structure, capability, and size up to 50 as the business expands. Alongside team-building, you'll own the numbers: the company's yearly growth and revenue targets sit squarely with you.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and structure the current sales organization.
• Scale the team from 15 toward 50 as the business grows.
• Own yearly revenue targets and sales growth.
• Build territory structures and second-line leadership.
• Strengthen distributor, stockist, and trade relationships.
• Drive sales analytics, forecasting, KPIs, and MIS.

Preferred candidate profile

• 812 years in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 2–3 years leading a sales team as Sales Head, Regional Sales Manager, or similar
• A track record of hitting or exceeding revenue growth targets
• Demonstrated experience building or scaling a sales team
• Strong command of sales analytics, forecasting, and budgeting
• Comfort managing distributor and trade relationships

Good to have

• Experience scaling a sales team from a small base (10–20) to a larger organization (40–50+)
• Existing distributor/trade network in Kolkata/Eastern India
