About this role
JOB PROFILE:
The Management Trainee Sales role is a structured program to develop future sales & business development professionals. The role begins with sales coordination, proposal support, client follow-ups & internal coordination and progresses towards lead generation, client interaction and independent sales responsibilities.
Qualifications:
MBA in Marketing / Sales / Business Development, Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical / Industrial preferred). 1 to 3 years of experience Strong academic foundation preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Phase 1 Sales Coordination & Support
Assist in preparation of techno-commercial proposals and quotations Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, and Commercial teams for cost inputs Follow up with clients for enquiries, clarifications, and documentation Maintain CRM records and sales pipeline tracker Support tender documentation and submission process.
Phase 2 Independent Sales Execution
Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals Conduct client meetings and understand technical requirements Prepare and present proposals. Support negotiation within defined commercial boundaries. Achieve assigned sales targets. Coordinate order handover to Projects team upon closure.
Phase 3 Market Research & Lead Support
Conduct market research and identify potential customers
Develop and update client database
Support initial prospect outreach under supervision
Track competitor and industry developments
Desired Skills & Competencies:
