Sales Executive Logistics

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities for freight-forwarding and logistics services through cold calling, meetings, referrals, networking, and market research.
• Identify and approach potential importers, exporters, freight forwarders, manufacturers, traders, and other businesses requiring logistics solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Understand customer requirements and offer suitable Air Freight, sea freight, customs clearance, and Warehousing solutions.
• Develop new accounts and increase business volumes from existing customers.
• Stay updated on freight rates, market trends, Incoterms, shipping regulations, and competitor activities.
• Conduct regular client meetings and follow up on quotations and prospective business opportunities.
• Work towards achieving business development and revenue targets.

Experience

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping is preferred.
• Candidates with proven experience in business development and new client acquisition will be given preference.
• Candidates with an existing network of relevant clients or industry contacts will be an advantage.

Other Skills

• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Good communication, negotiation, presentation, and client-relationship management skills.
• Good understanding of freight forwarding, logistics, shipping documentation, and Incoterms.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM/sales-management systems.
• Strong follow-up and business-development skills.
• Relevant technical courses, industry training, or certifications will be an advantage.
• Must have their own means of commuting for client meetings and business development activities.

Location & Commute

• Candidates should preferably reside near Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport), New Delhi, or in nearby areas with convenient access to the office.
• The nearest metro station to the office is Dwarka Sector 8 Metro Station.
