Sales Executive - Genomics

Role Description The Sales Executive – Genomics will be responsible for driving business growth for genomics and molecular diagnostics services by identifying prospects, building relationships with clinicians and healthcare institutions, and converting leads into long-term partnerships. Day-to-day activities include conducting market visits, presenting genomics solutions and test portfolios, explaining clinical and commercial benefits, and following up on inquiries to close sales. The role involves coordinating with internal teams for pricing, logistics, and reporting, maintaining accurate sales records, and preparing regular performance reports. The Sales Executive will also participate in medical conferences, CMEs, and outreach programs to increase brand visibility in genomics. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.
Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in healthcare or diagnostics sales, preferably in genomics, molecular diagnostics, or related laboratory services.
• Strong relationship-building skills with clinicians, hospitals, and healthcare decision-makers, with the ability to manage key accounts and partnerships.
• Solid communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex genomic concepts in clear, clinically relevant terms.
• Good understanding of precision medicine, genetics, or molecular biology, with a science or healthcare-related educational background (Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Pharmacy, or similar field preferred).
• Proficiency in basic sales tools and CRM or reporting systems, with strong organizational skills for territory management and follow-up.
• Comfort with fieldwork, frequent client visits, and on-site engagement in Chennai and surrounding regions.
• Proactive, target-driven mindset with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical and operations teams.
• Prior experience in diagnostics, medical devices, or pharma sales will be an added advantage.
