About the product The company is developing a SaaS product that empowers Application Security & Development teams to find and fix vulnerabilities iteratively at every step in the SDLC, without slowing them down.
Position As a
Sales Engineer & POC Coordinator , you will play a critical role in helping prospective customers evaluate and adopt Bright Security's DAST platform. You will serve as the technical bridge between prospects, Sales, Customer Success, Product, R&D, and Operations teams throughout the pre-sales process. Your primary objective is to drive successful Proofs of Concept (POCs), demonstrate business and technical value, remove obstacles, and ultimately help convert opportunities into long-term customers. This role requires a highly proactive, organized, and customer-facing professional who enjoys building relationships, managing multiple priorities, and working in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable engaging with security engineers, developers, DevOps teams, technical decision-makers, and executives alike. You’ll work in a global team and security professionals across EMEA and Americas.
Sphere of operation: Application Security Testing
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Sales Technical Engagement: Act as a trusted technical advisor during the sales cycle, conducting discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and technical presentations tailored to customer needs and environments.
- Proof of Concept (POC) Management: Own and coordinate multiple concurrent POCs, defining success criteria, tracking progress, removing blockers, and ensuring prospects achieve measurable value from the evaluation.
- Customer Onboarding During Evaluation: Guide prospective customers through platform deployment, integrations, scan configuration, and DevSecOps workflows to ensure a smooth and successful evaluation experience.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the central point of coordination between customers, Sales, Customer Success, Product, R&D, and Operations teams, ensuring clear communication and timely execution of action items.
- Technical Sales Support: Support the sales process by addressing technical questions, participating in architecture discussions, completing security questionnaires, and helping demonstrate business value.
- Customer Advocacy & Market Feedback: Gather customer feedback, feature requests, and market insights, and communicate them to Product and Engineering teams to help shape future improvements.
- Enablement & Knowledge Sharing: Create technical documentation, best-practice guides, and training materials while delivering workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions for customers and internal teams.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success Engineering, Technical Account Management, DevOps, DevSecOps, Application Security, or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Strong understanding of application security fundamentals and common web vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, authentication, authorization, API security, etc.).
- Good understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps practices, workflows, and tooling.
- Familiarity with modern software development processes and cloud-native environments.
- Ability to understand customer architectures and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.
- Highly proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with application security testing tools and methodologies, (especially web vulnerabilities, OWASP Top 10).
- Familiarity with one or more programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and API integrations.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of containerized environments and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and configuration management tools.
- Continuous delivery and modern DevOps practices.
