Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in Tiruvallur. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying customer needs, proposing suitable transmission solutions, and managing the sales cycle from inquiry through order closure. Daily activities include visiting industrial clients, conducting technical discussions, preparing quotations, and coordinating with internal technical and operations teams to ensure accurate product selection and timely delivery. The role involves providing technical support before and after sales, addressing customer queries, and maintaining long-term relationships to drive repeat business. The Sales Engineer will also monitor market trends, gather competitive intelligence, and contribute to sales forecasts and reporting.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills, with the ability to understand and explain transmission equipment and related technologies.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to manage client interactions, presentations, and follow-ups professionally.
• Candidates should possess solid Sales skills, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, negotiation, and closing.
• Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• Experience in industrial products or power transmission solutions (geared motors, gearboxes, VFDs, or similar) is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site, conduct regular customer visits in and around Tiruvallur, and travel to client locations as required.
• Proficiency in using basic office software and CRM or sales reporting tools is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, willingness to learn, and a results-oriented approach to sales targets.
