Sales Engineer : Gas Odorisation and Skid Solutions

Corporate Office, Noida. 6 days a week.
Location : 5 to 8 years selling gas equipment or engineered skid
Qualification : B.E. / B. Tech Mechanical (mandatory). MBA Marketing an advantage.

THE ROLE
Direct sale of CPL's odorisation and gas skid range to end customers across India, against an individual order
booking target. The role covers the full cycle: generating enquiries, preparing techno commercial offers, bidding,
negotiating and closing orders. We are looking for a self-driven professional who will open new accounts on his or
her own initiative, not someone who works only on enquiries received.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate new enquiries and develop new accounts through direct customer visits, references, tender portals
such as GeM and CPPP, and industry networks. Target segments are city gas distribution companies,
compressed biogas and LNG project developers, EPC contractors and industrial gas users.
Build and maintain a pipeline sufficient to meet the annual order booking target, updated in the company
CRM.
Prepare techno commercial offers with datasheets, deviation statements and priced bills of quantity, in
coordination with engineering and production, ensuring compliance with PNGRB, OISD, BIS, ASME and
hazardous area requirements.
Submit bids complete and on time, follow up on offers, handle technical and commercial queries, negotiate
and close orders.
¢ Act as the customer's principal contact until order placement, including presentations, plant visits and
commercial discussions, and support collections and after sales matters thereafter.

¢ Develop repeat business from the installed base through odorant, spares and service contracts.
¢ Track competitor activity, pricing trends and upcoming CGD and CBG projects, and report to management.
Represent CPL at exhibitions and industry forums.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
¢ B.E. or B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering, with 5 to 8 years in the sale of engineered to order equipment.
Odorisation systems, DRS, MRS or CGS skids, metering skids or pressure vessels preferred.
¢ Proven record of selling directly to end customers and closing orders against target.
¢ Working knowledge of public and private sector tendering, including GeM and e-procurement portals.
¢ Able to read P&IDs, drawings and datasheets independently and hold a technical discussion with the
customer's engineers without support.
¢ Sound grasp of costing, margins, payment terms and contract conditions such as liquidated damages, bank
guarantees and price variation.
¢ Self-driven, persistent through long sales cycles, and willing to travel extensively across India.
¢ Fluent in English and Hindi, with the maturity to represent the company independently before senior
customer personnel.
¢ Comfortable with MS Office, CRM and ERP systems.
