Sales Engineer Compressed Air Piping Systems

We are looking for a technically competent and result-oriented Sales Engineer Compressed Air Piping Systems in various locations across India to develop and manage sales of compressed air piping solutions. The candidate will be responsible for identifying customer requirements, preparing technical and commercial proposals, conducting site visits, developing new business opportunities, and providing suitable compressed air piping solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities for compressed air piping systems and related pneumatic solutions.
• Identify potential customers across industries such as manufacturing, automotive, engineering, fabrication, and other industrial sectors.
• Visit customer sites to understand compressed air requirements and existing piping systems.
• Conduct basic surveys and assess air distribution requirements, pressure requirements, pipe routing, and installation requirements.
• Recommend suitable compressed air piping solutions based on customer requirements.
• Prepare and submit technical and commercial quotations.
• Coordinate with the design, engineering, project, purchase, and installation teams for project execution.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Follow up on enquiries, quotations, negotiations, purchase orders, and payment-related matters.
• Conduct product presentations and technical discussions with customers.
• Support customers in selecting suitable pipes, fittings, valves, accessories, and other compressed air system components.
• Coordinate with project teams during installation and commissioning whenever required.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer requirements.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and business development objectives.
• Maintain regular sales reports, customer databases, enquiry status, and follow-up records.
• Travel to customer locations and project sites as required.

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of compressed air distribution systems and industrial piping.
• Understanding of pipe sizing, pressure drop, flow requirements, and piping layouts.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems, air compressors, air dryers, filters, FRL units, valves, and related components is an advantage.
• Ability to understand technical drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts, and basic engineering documents.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering/design software is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of industrial sales processes and project requirements.
