A. ROLE & CONTEXT

• This position is responsible for to oversees and assist the functional head in deriving the pricing strategy for the projects, bid analysis and to conduct the technical study of project feasibility.

B. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To assist in tendering and estimation activities for commercial & industrial to be executed by us.
• Identified, evaluated, and shortlisted suitable tenders aligned with company experience, technical capability, financial strength, and strategic business objectives.
• Conducted feasibility studies, risk assessments, and bid/no-bid analyses, presenting detailed justifications to management for approval.
• Preparation of accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and budgetary proposals based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions.
• Coordinated with design, planning, procurement, and construction teams to ensure realistic pricing, constructability, and competitive bidding strategies.
• Manage pre-bid queries, clarifications, and negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Develop value engineering proposals and cost optimization strategies without compromising quality or project timelines.
• Analyze market trends, material rates, and labour productivity to maintain competitive and profitable bid pricing.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, commercial, and statutory requirements during tender submissions.
• Provide the MIS for management decision-making by presenting commercial viability, risk exposure, and long-term growth opportunities for each tender / project proposal.
• Developing all project related contract strategies, compile all the data for the contract documents and the conditions
• Prepare and provide measurement of quantities for BOQ s, cost estimates and tender details, technical specifications as per scope of works, etc.
• Preparing Detailed Project Report as per project requirement.
• Interacting with the various agencies / vendors and updating the market rates and conduct market rate analysis for BOQ items.
• Performed bid Evolution report (Technical & Financial) of Tenders submitted by contractor as per the Standard Operating Procedures.

C. FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

• Exceptional skills in Pricing, Tender quotations, Marketing pricing & competitor evaluation
• Strong knowledge in understanding / interpreting the Mechanical / Construction / Installation lay-outs & drawings
• Working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost management, credit reports, financial accounting and risk management etc.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulatory framework and contract terms to avoid any legal disputes
• Good working knowledge in MS office suit & SAP

E. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

• 14 + years of experience in pricing / market quotes / costing function in Structural Steel / PEB industry or any related industry
• Ability to read / understand engineering drawings
• Knowledge of codes and related steel buildings construction regulations
• Understanding of required legislations

Minimum Qualification

• B. Tech / BE (Civil/)
• MBA (Mark/Fin./Ops.) is a definite plus
